Wedding Terms & Conditions

Wedding Terms & Conditions - A more concise list of Wedding Terms and Conditions will be issued with your Wedding Contract.

Booking - Following a personal consultation, a provisional booking will be made for 14 days. The hotel must be informed of the wedding ceremony time and approximate numbers at the initial booking stage, ceremony timings cannot be altered without prior agreement with the hotel. Following the deposit payment, a contract and terms and conditions will be issued which should be signed and returned within two weeks.

Deposits & Payments- A £1000.00 deposit is required at the time of booking. Please note this is non refundable. A second payment is due 6 months prior to your wedding date and is calculated as 50% of your wedding contract. Final arrangements, including numbers and menu choice are required 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date when your wedding coordinator will contact you to make a final details appointment. Please inform the hotel prior to the event of any guest’s special requirements or food allergies. Full payment will be due four weeks prior to your wedding date. Please note: All deposits and pre-payments are non refundable or transferable. No refund will be given for any fall in numbers once final payment has been received.

Numbers - Minimum numbers and a maximum capacity will apply depending on your chosen room and package that will be stated on your booking contract. Weddings booked on a Saturday during May to September are subject to a minimum of 60 day guests and 120 evening guests. You are required to cater for all guests attending the day and evening reception. In the event of a shortfall of required numbers a charge for the minimum numbers will apply.

Tastings- If you cannot decide on the dishes we offer we will be happy to arrange a menu tasting on the last Sunday in every month. Two course tasting at £60.00 and three course tasting at £70.00 based on two people sharing.

Evening only receptions - Due to our popularity as a complete wedding venue our wedding suites may only be available for an evening reception on off peak days

Accommodation - The Bridal Suite and any other bedrooms you wish to be added to the main wedding invoice can be booked with your wedding co-ordinator. For other guests please advise them to call the hotel direct with reservations on 01709 702 701 quoting your surnames along with the date of the wedding. Accommodation will be available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure.

Insurance - It is advisable to arrange adequate insurance cover as the hotel will not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused to client’s property, including wedding gifts and decorations brought into the hotel.

Resident DJ - The hotel has a resident DJ who is fully licensed and pat tested according to current legislation. The current charge is £350 if not included in your wedding package. Should you wish to organise your own evening entertainment you are more than welcome to do so with no extra charge, however, the hotel would require a copy of their public liability insurance to cover a minimum of £5 million and PAT testing certificates.

Alcohol - We do not allow the consumption of alcohol that has not been provided by the hotel. This includes alcoholic wedding favours.

Pricing - Prices quoted in the Wedding Brochure are inclusive of vat  If an  inclusive package is chosen and contracted it may not be changed to an alternative package at a lower price. The Hotel reserves the right to change its wedding prices and packages at any time however all prices stated on the signed wedding contract will remain, this is the minimum charge that will apply for any item.

Cancellation Terms - In the unfortunate event you need to cancel your wedding the following terms will apply.

£1000 Deposit is non refundable

24 weeks to wedding date  -  50% of balance of contract is due in cancellation fee

12 weeks to wedding date  -  75% of balance of contract is due in cancellation fee

4 weeks to wedding date  -  100% of balance of contract is due in cancellation fee

 

Postponements If you need to change the date of your wedding this will be at the discretion of the hotel and the availability to do so. An administration fee may be payable to move your date to a different year to originally booked.  Please contact your wedding co-ordinator to discuss your options with this
